Yes, we finally did what we said ‘we'd do ages ago and have available already'.  The first TPT Podcast (TPTP).  All we have to do now is edit out the boring/censored bits, chuck a few jingles in and a live track or two and then it will be available for you to subscribe to and download.  Watch this space....

Album now due for November 27th release

This is it now. The distributors are on standby and the shops are making space on their shelves. We have no choice but to deliver the album by the end of this month in order to be on sale on November 27th. Album launch gig

We are having an album launch party on November 4th 2006. It's being held at the fantastic Fiddler's Club in Bristol. Tickets are only £5. Support will be from local based singer/songwriter Aaron Slater along with his band.

Exclusive CD to be given away at Cheltenham and Sheffield gigs

Official Pineapple Thief DVD in the works

The first ever official TPT DVD is currently in the works. This is set to include live performances from Rosfest plus unreleased tracks from the new album sessions. There is no set release date yet but keep checking back for the latest news and updates.

Limited edition t-shirts go on sale!

To coincide with our headlining gig at Telford, we have launched a new limited edition T-shirt. They contain a unique design containing the Telford Ironbridge. The cost is £10.00 each and available in mens medium, large and xtra large. We also have some small, medium and large ladies skinnys. You can pre-order in advance through our shop using a debit or credit card. If you wish to pay by cheque then please select the "Print order form" option. T-shirts will also be available at the gig from our merchandising stall, however, we can only accept cash on the day.

PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to pick up your t-shirt at the gig then please stipulate this in the "Your comments" box during the checkout process otherwise they will be posted as usual. Aaron Slater to support TPT at Telford

The Pineapple Thief are pleased to annouce that Aaron Slater will be joining them in Telford for their first headlining gig of 2006. Aaron will be providing support before TPT take to the stage and will play a selection of his own material acoustically. Aaron is signed to Fiberlineaudio and will be releasing the single "Alien to me" next month.  He website can be found at www.aaronslater.com .

USA Rosfest tickets go on sale

Tickets will go on sale Saturday, February 25th at 12:00 noon EST for the 3rd annual Rites of Spring Festival, which is set to take place at the Colonial Theater in Phoenixville, PA., on Friday, April 28th, Saturday, April 29th, and Sunday, April 30th 2006.  This year the event is presented by PPRC Music.

The three-day show will host today's hottest progressive rock bands along with a jam-packed vendor area where fans can purchase hard to find CDs, t-shirts, and other music merchandise.  Representing the merch tables will be the likes of Kinesis, Lone Wolf Music, Record Connection, Of Sound Mind, Big Balloon Music, Inside Out Records, & Syn–Phonic plus many others.

The performing bands include – Friday night bands - Ephemeral Sun, Harmony & Diversity, super prog band NEO with the likes of John Jowett, Clive Nolan, Andy Edwards, Mark Westwood and special guests Nick Barrett from Pendragon, Alan Reed from Pallas and Peter Banks formerly of Yes.
Saturday's line up includes Mirthrandir, Haymadryad, Jonas Reingold's Karmakanic, and headliner Satellite.

Sunday's lineup includes Magic Pie--voted album of the year on Sea Of Tranquility and classic Scottish proggers Pallas. Headlining is the Italian band The Watch. Pineapple Thief will be playing at approximately 1.30pm.

Unearthed 12 Stories Down albums available for sale

Cyclops have unearthed a long lost box of 12 Stories Down, the release limited to a mere 1000 copies. 100 of these are available now from our shop. Bruce says: '10 Stories is the version I want out there, but this release does have 5 exclusive tracks plus a radically different mix of Clapham. Sonically, it's not a patch on 10SD but if you want to own a TPT rarity, get in there now I say.'

12 Stories Down is now available to purchase in our shop for £15.00.

Exclusive free track to download

To celebrate the launch of our new website, we have recorded a brand new acoustic version of Prey For Me. This track was originally featured on the album 10 Stories Down.

The track was recorded at Bruce's studio on Saturday 7th January. It was then mixed and mastered by Steve Kitch on Sunday 8th.

For two weeks only this track will be only be available to those who sign up to our mailing list. By signing up you will receive the latest news, gig information, exclusive downloads plus plenty more. Don't worry, we wont flood you with spam and you can unsubscribe at any time. You can subscribe by using the box on the top right of this page. You will automatically be sent an email confirming your subscription and giving you details on how to download the track.

New website

Welcome to the new look website! Hopefully you will find everything a lot easier to read and find.

We have introduced a "Brucey blog" where Bruce will be enlightening us with his musical progress and daily thoughts. In addition we have decided to introduce an official forum so that all Pineapple fans can get together to chat and discuss TPT. The PT Street Team has been set up so that we can provide you with all the tools you need to be able to promote Pineapple Thief across the internet, your local area and amongst your friends. Finally, we have a new Pineapple Thief Store which will make your shopping life much easier.

We also have a set-list archive, press section and a links page. In the near future we will be introducing lots of new content and features including:

• Free content including wallpaper and screen savers

New album for May 2006

Bruce has been very busy recording songs for the next TPT album. I managed to get him out of his studio long enough for him to tell me that he is hoping to have it ready for release in May. If there is time then there may be preview copies available at the Rosfest gig in late April. He also told me that three or four of the songs will be unveiled at the Telford gig... So if you have been putting off buying those tickets, better get moving! Snap them up before you regret it.

Pineapple Thief play Telford

We are pleased to announce that The Thief will be taking to the stage once again, this time in Telford. The date is booked for a private 'Invitation only' show on Saturday 11th March.
