Exclusive 512mb USB stick branded with the TPT logo on the front and website on the back. Preloaded with the recently released live album “Someone Here is Live”.

The recording was compiled from shows performed during the European ‘Someone Here Is Missing’ tour of October 2010.

Splits were taken from each feed (including room mics) to the front of house desk, directly into our mobile recording units. The show was mixed (with no overdubs) at TPT HQ and the final master is a high quality but true representation of the live show. The download clocks in at just short of 2 hours of continuous music. A special digital booklet has been produced featuring exclusive photos, including some rare back stage footage. A PDF copy is also included on the stick.

    Pre-order Show A Little Love

Someone Here Is Missing, the new album from The Pineapple Thief was released on Kscope earlier this year. The record had been described by front man Bruce Soord as, “A record of dark edges, full of love and regret. My life in the last eighteen months pretty much,” but it quickly earned a bagful of new descriptions, best summed by Classic Rock who simply stated that it was ‘frequently mesmerising’.

Following several successful festival appearances over the past few months, the band are now about to embark on a European tour and release Show A Little Love.

The new EP features 4 brand new tracks (part of a sixteen minute piece) alongside a single edit of the title track and alternate versions of three tracks from the band’s latest album, Someone Here Is Missing. (acoustic versions of two tracks plus a rousing remix of Dead In The Water).

The EP features artwork developing the post-it man concept created for the album by legendary designer Storm Thorgerson.

Sun Domingo to support for European tour

The Pineapple Thief are pleased to announce that USA group Sun Domingo will be joining them on their European tour in October. Here are some details about the band…

Sun Domingo are often described as ‘progressive pop rock’ by fans and
critics. A new genre of music it seems they’ve created – Bridging the
gap for listeners who seek depth & adventure in music but also enjoy
the timeless pop hooks. Think Pink Floyd and Crowded House.

Sun Domingo shot onto the international stage when DIY prog-rock
legends Marillion invited them to Montreal as direct support for two
nights in April 2009. The magic of that performance is captured in
their recently-released live collection, “Live In Montreal/Marillion
Weekend ‘09,” which came out on Rock Ridge Music on April 20, 2010.
This progressive post-modern rock trio hails from Atlanta, GA USA and
have been travelling the world for 6 years making music and building a
    very strong fan-base.

Sun Domingo will be releasing a digital EP, “Piece,” on June 22, 2010.
The EP will be available via all digital download portals.
Says guitarist Edgel Groves: “The ‘Piece’ EP is a collection of five
songs we are very proud of. We had the chance to try these songs out
on the road over the past two years and get reaction from our fans.”

“One of our personal favorites and fan favorites is ‘Mad Maze,’ an
instrumental we crafted from pure improv and named after our manager
Matt Mayes, who inspired the song from his guijo playing in the band
Jupiter Coyote,” says Groves. “The EP version of this song showcases
John Wesley of Porcupine Tree on guitar. For anyone who has not heard
John play, it is a treat and well worth a listen. World class musician
    and guy.

The band also plans to release its next studio full-length in
September. The as-yet-untitled album features songs from the EP as
well as plenty of previously-unreleased, newly-recorded offerings.
“These five tracks will be merged with another five songs later this
year for our sophomore full length album,” says Groves.
