This is a very special charity event taking place in the band's home town of Yeovil. A unique gig of exclusive performances, special guests and TPT memorabilia up for grabs. All proceeds from the gig will be donated to the Piers Simon Appeal (www.pierssimonappeal.org). This is a charity that band have supported for many years. The evening will also be the 'unofficial' launch of the long awaited 3000 Days compilation double CD featuring tracks from the TPT back catalogue. This performance will feature one-off, never-to-be-repeated performances of some of these songs. The band will play two sets (one acoustic) in what promises to be a very intimate evening with The Thief. Information on tickets will be announced shortly.

Just a reminder that The Pineapple Thief return to London on Saturday (May 16th) to play the Half Moon in Putney. The venue has already seen classic performances by the band, and armed with new material this should be no exception. With support from Sine Star Project and Little Alaskan Workshop, this is set to be a great evening.

The show marks the last UK gig from The Thief before they set out for their summer festival appearances in Germany and Italy.

Finally, the second limited edition 'Dawn Raids' EPs have landed at TPT HQ. These are now available to order from our shop. This release features a completely re-recorded acoustic version of Tightly Wound, the long awaited physical release of 'Freefall', a previously unreleased track (Bitter Day) plus 'Second Chance' which was previously only available as a digital download. We think this is the stronger of the two EPs.

We had a few issues with postage for the first EPs - rest assured delivery should be much quicker this time around. It really helps us if you order directly from this site. All profits go directly into the band.

So, this marks the end of the Tightly Unwound era for the band. However things remain busy. In August there will be the double CD '3000 Days' compilation followed by a series of re-issues from the back catalogue. The first re-issue, due late summer will be 'Little Man'. This will be re-packaged, re-mixed and re-mastered complete with a bonus CD of unreleased and special versions from the sessions. The rest of the catalogue will follow shortly afterwards. Initially, the re-issues will only be available directly from our website and from Kscope's affiliated 'Burning Shed' site. We are conscious that the back catalogue is changing hands for silly money. TPT have already stated that our music should be available to all at a fair price. $180 for a TPT album? We don't think so...

After the success of their recent tour of Holland, the band have been taken a short break while Bruce remains locked away in TPT Towers writing for the next studio album (due April 2010). Don’t forget, you can catch the guys at their intimate warm up show for Canada – the band will be returning to their ‘local’ - the Louisiana in Bristol where they will be showcasing some new material. After the summer festival gigs (with more in the pipeline to be confirmed), the band will be returning to Holland for a 5 date tour, with Riverside. The band met Riverside when they played Poland last year. It should be a good bill.

The 3000 Days 2 CD compilation will be released in August 2009 on Kscope featuring the highlights from the current 7 CD catalog. Expect some lavish packaging, extensive booklet and re-mastered, re-mixed recordings. Bruce explained that he has no intention of altering the spirit of the recordings. There will be no overdubs or guest guitar solos! However, the mixes have been put through Bruce’s new studio. The tracks will simply sound better. As Bruce always intended but couldn’t quite manage with the early, lower budget releases.
