Tightly Unwound
The 7th TPT album was the debut release on the brand new Kscope label, a division of Snapper Music and to most fans, the first taste of the band after their relative obscurity on Cyclops.
Collectors note: there are some promo versions of this album out there (with a single, card sleeve) with a slightly different track order to the final release (Tightly Wound and The Sorry State swapped).
- My Debt To You

What We Have Sown (out of print)
This was the last release with Cyclops, after nearly 10 years on the label. The album is a bit of a curiosity as it was written during the Tightly Unwound sessions as a thank you to everyone at Cyclops before the band moved on. All in all, the album took 8 weeks to complete from start to finish. Bruce often describes it as '8 Weeks Later', referring to his previous bonus discs which were written and recorded in 8 days. Some of the tracks were unfinished works Bruce found hidden in his studio. All You Need to Know was actually the first song written for 10 Stories Down but for some reason got forgotten. Well I Think That's What You Said' and 'Take Me With You' were from the Little Man sessions. Bruce padded out the release with the audacious 27 minute title track. However, it all went down surprisingly well with the fans.
- All You Need to Know
- Well, I Think That's What You Said?
- Take Me With You
- West Winds
- Deep Blue World
- What Have We Sown?

10 Stories Down (out of print)
Eighteen months in the making. Two versions are available - a limited (and very rare) double version with the '8 Days Later' album as well as the standard single CD version. Both versions have different on-cd and tray card designs.
- Prey for Me
- Clapham
- Wretched Soul
- The World I Always Dreamed Of
- Start Your Descent
- My Own Oblivion
- It's Just You and Me
- The Answers

- Who Will Light Up Your Eyes
4 Stories Down (out of print)
Mini-album consisting of album version of 'Clapham' and 'Wretched Soul' plus a brand new song 'Ground Floor' and a seven minute version of The Pineapple Thief anthem 'Subside'. Limited release, now very rare.
- Clapham
- Wretched Soul
- The Ground Floor
- Subside (13th floor mix)
12 Stories Down (out of print)
Another Pineapple collectable - this release came to the fans almost too quickly and Bruce withdrew it from sale as it wasn't ready and later surfaced as '10 Stories Down'.. One thing of note - about 100 copies of these were sent out with the wrong master (the album had been incorrectly mastered). That makes them ultra rare. This version came with the bonus '8 Days Later' CD and features five songs not available elsewhere - 'Slip Away', 'Catch the Jumping Fool', 'Watch the World Turn Grey' and 'Who Will Be There'. Although Bruce has fond memories: 'they were crap'.
Variations on a Dream (out of print)
The 3rd studio album. If you were lucky enough to obtain the version with the '8 Days' bonus CD then you have a truly collectable disc (limited to 1000). People are always asking if there are any plans to re-release the original '8 Days' disc. Maybe, when Kscope re-issue this...
- We Subside
- This Will Remain Unspoken
- Vapour Trails
- Run Me Through
- The Bitter Pill
- Resident Alien
- Sooner or Later
- Part Zero
- Keep Dreaming
- Remember Us
137 (out of print)
The second Pineapple Thief studio album. And yes, there is a mistake with the track order on the jewel case. Even we get confused...
- Lay on the Tracks
- Perpetual Night Shift
- Kid Chameleon
- Incubate
- Doppler
- Ster
- Release the Tether
- How Did We Find Our Way?
- 137
- Preserve
- Warm Me
- PVS
- MD One
Abducting the Unicorn (out of print)
The very first studio album. Rather rough around the edges but it did enough to keep the project alive. Originally titled 'Abducted at Birth', this was re-titled by Cyclops to emphasize the links with Vulgar Unicorn, Bruce's previous band. Bruce reluctantly agreed to this, however, the title is meaningless.
Collectors note - the original version has a grey 'on-cd' print (1000 pressed). A mistake with the films meant the re-press had a bland, hard to read white on-cd print. Only 2000 of these albums are in circulation.
- Private Paradise
- Drain
- Whatever You Do, Do Nothing
- No One Leaves This Earth
- Punish Yourself
- Everyone Must Perish
- Judge the Girl
- Parted Forever
Limited Edition Live DVD
A strange, lo-fi item. The first three gigs performed by the band captured on handheld. Sound was via a single, stereo condenser. Funnily enough, it struck a chord with many fans as it certainly places you in the middle of the crowd. Bruce can't bring himself to watch it. 'We were shit' he recalls.
Collectors note - The first edition has black 'on-cd' labels. The re-press is clearly marked on the case and features a different, colour on-cd print. All individually numbered. We've lost count how many we pressed, but it was definitely less than 400.
- Part Zero
- Preserve
- Keep Dreaming
- Kid Chameleon
- MD One
- Sooner Or Later
- Vapour Trails
- Unspoken
- 137
- Subside
- Bliss (Bonus Track)
- What A Way To Lose (Bonus Track)
- Crash (Bonus Track)
- Your World (Bonus Track)
Sherbert Gods 7" Vinyl
Another oddity for Pineapple Thief completists, there are less than 500 of these out there. Bruce notes: 'I have no idea why I did this, what the songs were about or what the hell they were trying to sound like – but one thing I know, they suk'.
